I am all about smoothies and fruit drinks these days. I would rather have a smoothie in the morning than having a breakfast meal. I find it very hard to do the house chores after eating something heavier in the morning. I feel so sleepy and less energetic. Smoothie makes me fresh and energetic. I found this drink while I was browsing through an old recipe book. (Taste of home comfort food cook book diet) Ever since I have been making this drink almost every day with a few spins of mine. My son loves this drink too, so I thought I would share it with you today. If you love healthy and delicious fruit drinks, this recipe will please you.
You will need:
2 cups of orange juice
1 cup cranberry juice
1 apple ( I prefer pink lady apple but you can use any type)
1/2 cup of peeled mango cubs
1 cup of blue berries
8 to 10 ice cubs
Pop all the fruits and the cranberry juice into a blender, and blend until it get smooth. Pour into your favorite glass. How easy is that? I like to throw some chia seeds into it to. Chia seeds are really good for you. You don’t even need to sweeten it. Fruits make it sweet and so delicious. This is a perfect option for a healthy breakfast. If you like, you can even add some oats to make it to a full breakfast meal. Hope you will like this recipe. Enjoy!
